Job summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking an A/V Technician I to support AV/VTC projects from our Lexington Park, MD location. You will work with Lead Technicians and Engineers to gain practical experience in AV development technologies and assist with installation, testing, and troubleshooting of systems.

Role requires on-site schedule with potential 5 days on-site and travel up to CONUS/OCONUS sites, up to 50%. Candidates must obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance and maintain a valid passport.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience testing or integrating electronics equipment.
• Willingness to learn A/V technology areas.
• Ability to follow basic flow diagrams and work in a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to obtain a passport.
• Ability to lift items up to NIOSH limits and work in varied spaces.

Responsibilities

• Stage-2 testing of received A/V equipment.
• Label communications infrastructure including cable, panels, patch cords and electronics.
• Assist with installation and mounting of equipment (monitors, speakers, microphones) to ceilings and walls in secure spaces.
• Assist with fabrication, termination, and installation of AV cabling.
• Assist with testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of AV systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing existing AV systems.
• Perform inventory management and record configuration information on installed equipment and software modules.
