Job summary

Stew Leonard’s is seeking a Culinary Assistant (Meat Gourmet) for a full-time hourly position. You will mix and prepare gourmet meat products, maintain freshness, and provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates are at least 18 years old with basic computer skills and a willingness to learn. No prior experience required; training provided. The role includes standing, lifting, and adhering to safety standards in a temperature-controlled department.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Entry level position; no experience required.
• Safely use/operate knives, hand chopper, mixer, cube steak machine and meat wrapper.
• Basic computer skills.
• Great customer service.
• Good oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Mix and prepare all gourmet meat products using established recipes.
• Examine cases and prepare production plan based on item priority.
• Maintain, fill and rotate products for quality and freshness.
• Gather necessary ingredients based on production needs.
• Wrap and label product.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and responding to questions.
• Ensure work area is clean and ingredients are put away at end of shift.
• Adhere to health, sanitation and safety regulations.
• Assist in other duties as assigned.
