Job summary

Stew Leonard's is seeking a part-time Cook to join our kitchen team in New York. You will prepare high-quality items for retail by following recipes and standards, with an emphasis on safety and sanitation.

Must be at least 18, HS diploma with 1–3 years experience, and Culinary Arts student or graduate preferred. Flexible, team-oriented, capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 40 lbs, with standard kitchen equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• HS diploma or equivalent with 1–3 years of experience.
• Culinary Arts student or graduate preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation.
• Safely use knives, ovens, scales, wrapping machines, steamers, mixers, and all kitchen equipment.
• Good oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inventory cases and prepare production lists.
• Follow recipes to prepare and reheat items.
• Rotate products on display.
• Adhere to health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
• Assist in other duties, as assigned.
