Job summary

Kroger is hiring for a deli/bakery associate to create an outstanding customer experience with exceptional service and a safe, clean environment. You will assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals and uphold our Customer 1st strategy and core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

You will interact with customers, slice and prepare deli/bakery items, and ensure freshness and accuracy of orders while maintaining safety and sanitation

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation is required.
• Knowledge of deli/bakery products preferred.
• Ability to follow safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with deli/bakery selections and requests.
• Slice deli meats and cheeses to customer specifications.
• Prepare deli/bakery items per orders using proper equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the deli/bakery area.
• Stock, label and inventory deli/bakery merchandise.
• Follow company guidelines for equipment use and food safety.
