Responsibilities include preparing items per customer requests, offering samples, informing customers of specials, and ensuring correct portioning, labeling and stocking.

Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products in correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to ensure customer needs are met.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Follow food safety regulations and maintain temperature logs.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Assist with inventory accuracy and reorder discrepancies as directed.
