The UND Alumni Association & Foundation is seeking a GAC Events Manager to lead the planning, coordination, sales, and marketing of events at the Gorecki Alumni Center and Hopper Danley Spiritual Center. The GAC Events Manager will plan and execute events on behalf of the Gorecki Alumni Center and Hopper Danley Spiritual Center. This position is required to ensure that events at the Gorecki Alumni Center and the Hopper Danley Spiritual Center are executed to reflect the level of prestige of the buildings and organization. The GAC Events Manager will lead the sales and marketing efforts for both venues to ensure maximum usage and profitability. This position will identify, coordinate, and maintain relationships with approved caterers and vendors to support GAC and Hopper Danely Spiritual Center events. This person must have a demonstrated ability to be self-directed and work as part of a team in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This position will require some early mornings, late evenings, and occasionally weekends depending on the event schedule.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience: 1-2 years of event planning, hospitality, or customer service experience
PHYSICAL & COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS
Ability to operate computers, telephones, and other standard office equipment. Ability to focus and complete work in a timely manner. Ability to travel independently via car and air. Ability to frequently bend, stoop, squat, and lift or move objects up to 50 pounds. Current CPR/AED & First Aid Certification
Excellent organizational skills and strong sense of attention to detail

Strong interpersonal communication skills and project management experience
