Job summary

Slalom is seeking a Data Architect for its Google COE to design and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms on Google Cloud Platform. You will lead architecture sessions, guide delivery teams, and collaborate with clients to modernize data estates.

The role emphasizes strong communication, cloud-native data solutions, and experience with real-time and batch data processing. Hybrid work is expected with commutable distance to Slalom offices.

Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms on Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow, Pub/Sub and Dataflow pipelines.
• Ability to facilitate design sessions with clients and internal teams.
• Experience migrating and modernizing data estates on GCP.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis, architecture, design, and delivery of client data platforms on GCP.
• Describe trade-offs, risks, and implementation paths clearly to stakeholders.
• Drive workstreams and ensure quality completion of development items.
• Support pre-sales activities including shaping data modernization approaches.
