Job summary

Slalom is seeking a Data Architect for its Google COE in the United States. You will design and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms on Google Cloud, integrating BigQuery, Dataplex, Dataflow, and more.

You will guide clients through migrations, governance, and analytics modernization, partnering with Slalom and client teams to drive successful outcomes. You will lead architecture discussions, shape solutions, and support pre-sales with credible technical options and delivery plans.

Qualifications

• Broad architecture experience in data platforms.
• Deep expertise in Google Cloud data engineering technologies.
• Ability to facilitate design sessions with clients and teams.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale data platforms on GCP.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms on Google Cloud Platform.
• Architect solutions using BigQuery, Dataplex, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI, Looker, Cloud Composer.
• Migrate and modernize data estates and enable governed analytics.
• Lead analysis, architecture, design, and delivery of the client’s next generation Google Cloud Data Platform Solution.
• Communicate trade-offs, risks, and implementation path to clients; drive consensus.
• Participate in pre-sales activities shaping data modernization approaches.
