Job summary

Slalom is seeking a Data Architect for its Google COE to design and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms on Google Cloud. You will lead architecture sessions with clients, drive data modernization initiatives, and ensure governance and scalable analytics across projects.

This role requires strong GCP expertise and collaboration across teams in a hybrid work environment. You will work with BigQuery, Dataplex, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Vertex AI, Looker, and other Google Cloud services to

Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms on Google Cloud.
• Ability to lead architecture discussions with clients and teams.
• Strong SQL and Python/Java coding skills.
• Experience with real-time and batch data platforms.
• Familiarity with data governance and metadata management.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Architect solutions using BigQuery, Dataplex, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI, Looker, Cloud Composer, and other Google Cloud services.
• Help migrate and modernize data estates, enable governed analytics, and accelerate AI-ready data foundations.
• Lead analysis, architecture, design, and delivery of the client’s next generation Google Cloud Data Platform Solution.
• Communicate trade-offs, benefits, risks, and implementation paths to drive consensus with Slalom and client teams.
• Participate in pre-sales activities including shaping data modernization approaches and supporting estimates.
