Discovery Land Company is seeking a Gondola Operations Supervisor at Homewood Mountain & Lake Club on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, California to organize and oversee the day-to-day gondola operations and supervise the team of Gondola Operators.
You’ll monitor top and bottom terminals, coordinate staff schedules, lead preseason training, enforce safety protocols, and collaborate with resort leaders to deliver high-quality guest experiences throughout the season.

This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Homewood Mountain & Lake Club, seton the West Shore of Lake Tahoe in Homewood, California.
Homewood is seeking a Gondola Operations Supervisor to join the Lift & Gondola Operations Department.
TheGondola Operations Supervisoris responsible fororganizing and overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Gondolaand supervisingtheteam of Gondola Operators.This includes monitoring activity between the top and bottom terminals, verifying proper opening and operational setup each morning, and ensuring Lead Operators effectively manage and administer scheduled employee breaks and meal periods. TheSupervisorwill routinelymonitoroperations toidentifyand address issues,maintainconsistency and efficiency, and ensure a safe, organized, and high-quality experience for all guests.
Lead the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of seasonal staff, ensuring a qualified and well-prepared team is in place for the season.
Coordinate and lead preseason training while ensuring that all required employment and compliance paperwork is completed accurately, on time, and is always audit-ready.
Ensure all operations are A.N.S.I. B77 compliant, at all times.
Align staff around clear departmental goals while providing ongoing coaching to ensuretimely, high-quality results.
Oversee and deliver on-the-job training, reinforcing operational procedures, safety protocols, and exceptional guest service.
Organize and oversee the daily setup of mazes and signage to accommodate expected guest demand and traffic flow.
Provide leadership and operational support toLeadOperators, ensuring the efficient execution of daily operations.
Work closely with leaders across all resort departments to support sharedobjectivesand ensure seamless operations.
Act as the department’s primary leader during the Manager’s absence by overseeing daily operations,representingthe department in management meetings, and administering employee disciplinein accordance withcompany policies.
Foster long-term staff retention by recognizing employee contributions and building a supportive, inclusive workplace environment.

Minimumof3years of Liftor GondolaOperations Experience
Minimumof1 year ofSupervisor, or similar,Experience
High School diploma or equivalent
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead seasonal staff.
Ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver employee training, including preseason and on-the-job training.
Strong understanding of safety protocols, operational procedures, and risk management.
Ability to manage daily operations independently and provide leadership in the absence ofmanagement.
Flexibility and ability topivot tonew projects and desire to work infast-paced environment.
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to stay calm and focused during thebusiest oftimes.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English;additionallanguages preferred.
Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
