Job summary

Quinnipiac University is seeking a Masonicare Golf and Gathering Complex Interactive Intern to support the Office of Community Engagement. The role focuses on welcoming participants, managing simulator reservations, and assisting with events and programs.

Responsibilities include operating golf simulator equipment, teaching basic features, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for all participants. Flexible hours are arranged with the supervisor around class schedules.

Qualifications

• Interest in golf, recreation, sports management, hospitality, or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Welcome participants and assist with simulator reservations and scheduling.
• Set up and operate golf simulator equipment before each session.
• Provide basic instruction on simulator features, game modes, and scoring.
• Troubleshoot minor technical issues and report equipment concerns to staff.
• Ensure the simulator area is clean, organized, and safe for all users.
• Assist with leagues, tournaments, instructional clinics, and special events.
• Monitor participant usage and encourage proper equipment handling.
• Maintain inventory of golf clubs, balls, tees, and other accessories.
• Collect participation data and assist with usage reports. Collects waivers.
• Promote simulator programs and recreational activities to residents, members, or guests.
• Provide exceptional customer service and foster an enjoyable experience for all participants.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Recreation or Wellness team.
