Job summary

The Golf Shop Attendant at City of Apple Valley is responsible for assisting with reservations, sales, and daily golf shop operations, while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will support leagues, tournaments, and course operations, supervise in the manager's absence, open/close the clubhouse, and ensure accurate cash handling and records.

This position requires flexibility, basic math skills, MS Office/POS knowledge, and a professional, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in a service-related field.
• Must be at least 18 years old by start of position.
• MS Office, POS software, GHIN handicapping knowledge.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to promote the golf course.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reservations, merchandise, scheduling, and sales.
• Check-in and payment processing; resolve issues as needed.
• Supervise golf leagues and events.
• Oversee daily operations in absence of managers.
• Open/close clubhouse; manage register and deposits.
• Promote professional, customer-service oriented atmosphere.
• Support tournament operations as directed.
• Administer city policies at golf course.
• Provide communication to management about operations.
