Responsibilities

• Assist Golf Professional/Course Manager with day-to-day operations of the golf course.
• Handle pro-shop duties, answer phones, manage tee-sheet and inventory.
• Operate the POS and enter new members into the database.
• Assist with sales of golf shop inventory and tournament management.
• Ensure opening/closing procedures are followed in the pro-shop.
• Maintain clean work area and accurate daily reports.

FOUNTAINS COUNTRY CLUB in Lake Worth, Florida is seeking qualified service staff to join our professional hospitality team. We are seeking mature, responsible, motivated and enthusiastic individuals. All applicants must be personable, engaging, and professional in appearance.

Duties

• Assist the Golf Professional/Course Manager in managing the day to day operations of the golf course. Typical duties to include (but not limited to) working the pro-shop counter, answering the phones, managing the tee-sheet, inventory, shop cleanliness and assisting golf professional with events, tournaments and promotions.
• Answer pro-shop phone with enthusiasm and professionalism. Answer questions and inquiries from golfing public.
• Running register for pro shop.
• Manage tee sheet – take tee times and block tee book accordingly for groups and tournaments. Also, maintaining an accurate count of players each day and making sure that accurate count is transferred to spreadsheet in the daily reports.
• Keep working area clean.
• Enter new members and frequent players into the database within our POS (Point of Sale) computer.
• Assist Golf Professional in sales of golf shop inventory.
• Assist Golf Professional with tournament management.
• Ensure that opening and closing procedures are followed inside the pro-shop
• Input inventory into POS (Point of Sale) computer.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Good computer skills – specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Should have knowledge of golf course operations and knowledge of the game of golf.
• Same basic golf equipment knowledge is helpful.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
