Job summary

Golf & Ski Warehouse is seeking a part-time Sales Associate to promote our store culture and assist customers with golf and ski equipment. You will learn the products, demonstrate using launch monitors and golf simulators, and contribute to merchandising and inventory tasks.

The role offers base pay plus commission, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for learning and career growth within Worldwide Golf’s stores and brands.

Qualifications

• Golf and/or ski knowledge preferred.
• Ability to stand and work in-store, including bending, lifting up to 15 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain awareness of golf/ski product knowledge, promotions, and demo merchandise.
• Evaluate customers’ needs and recommend right golf/ski equipment.
• Educate customers and help compare differences for informed decisions.
• Operate launch monitor and golf simulator to provide data during in-store experience.
• Assist with floor moves, merchandising, and keep the sales floor clean.
• Research merchandise availability via computer database; restock and inventory as needed.
• Suggest process improvements once trained; perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

The Sales Associate at Golf & Ski Warehouse is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture that is consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an awareness of all golf and ski product knowledge, terminology, merchandise promotions, demo merchandise and sale advertisements.
• Evaluate customers’ needs, apply knowledge of golf and ski equipment features and benefits, and make recommendations on the right golf and ski equipment for the customer.
• Educate customers on our golf and ski products and help them compare differences to make an educated decision.
• Operate launch monitor and golf simulator equipment to provide customer with valuable data during in-store experience
• Assist with floor moves, merchandising, and keeping the sales floor organized and clean to meet Worldwide Golf’s standards.
• Research merchandise availability via computer database; requisition merchandise from the stockroom and taking inventory of stock where needed.
• Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications Desired

• Golf knowledge and/or ski knowledge is preferred but not necessary. We are looking for avid golf or ski enthusiasts, industry experience is NOT required.

Requirements

• Ability to spend work time standing or moving around the store. Physical activities include bending, stooping, lifting (up to 15 pounds), carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
• Have a working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, internet and order processing systems.
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates, including one day on the weekend.

The hourly rate for this position is $15.10 - $18.00 per hour plus commission. Individual starting rate within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
