Job summary

Worldwide Golf is seeking a Sales Associate to promote a store culture aligned with our values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy. Responsibilities include maintaining golf and ski product knowledge, assisting customers, and promoting merchandise promotions.

You will evaluate customers’ needs, demonstrate product features, operate launch monitor and golf simulator equipment, and help keep the floor organized and stocked. Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends is required.

Qualifications

Golf knowledge and/or ski knowledge is preferred but not necessary.
We are looking for avid golf or ski enthusiasts; industry experience is NOT required.

Responsibilities

Maintain an awareness of golf and ski product knowledge, terminology, merchandise promotions, demo merchandise and sale advertisements.
Evaluate customers’ needs, apply knowledge of golf and ski equipment features and benefits, and make recommendations on the right golf and ski equipment for the customer.
Educate customers on our golf and ski products and help them compare differences to make an educated decision.
Operate launch monitor and golf simulator equipment to provide customer with valuable data during in‑store experience
Assist with floor moves, merchandising, and keeping the sales floor organized and clean to meet Worldwide Golf’s standards.
Research merchandise availability via computer database; requisition merchandise from the stockroom and taking inventory of stock where needed.
Once fully trained, recognize and suggest ways to improve processes.
Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Ability to spend work time standing or moving around the store. Physical activities include bending, stooping, lifting (up to 15 pounds), carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
Have a working knowledge of word‑processing, spreadsheet, inventory, internet and order processing systems.
Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates, including one day on the weekend.
