Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Lead to directly influence brand standards and the teammate experience in-store. Under guidance from the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Lead becomes the in-store expert of their department, delivering top service and directing teammates.

The role emphasizes leading by example, empathy, resilience, collaboration, and a commitment to a welcoming, safe shopping environment while meeting store policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability - including nights, weekend, and holidays.
• Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience) preferred.
• Golf experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively.
• Ability to work extended periods of time standing or walking.
• Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder or aerial lifting device.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-store execution of brand standards and teammate experience.
• Observes interviews and department tours to build a strong team.
• Plans 30-days out with guidance of Assistant Store Manager; aligns workforce.
• Leverages teammates to ensure brand standards and programs are met.
• Upholds merchandising and presentation standards, signage and inventory.
• Supports store leadership with supervision and training.
• Coaches teammates and teaches processes to improve performance.
• Builds an inclusive store environment with respect for all customers and teammates.
