Job summary

The University of Georgia Athens campus invites applications for the Director of Golf Operations. The role oversees administrative and logistical operations for the Division I men’s and women’s golf programs, coordinating travel, payroll, and budgets while supporting the coaching staff to ensure efficient program operations.

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, and be able to work nontraditional hours, including evenings

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers, especially Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
• Knowledge of NCAA/SEC rules is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist coaching staff with program administration, payroll, and budget development.
• Manage day-to-day internal and external operations and logistical support.
• Serve as travel logistics point of contact.
• Assist in budget development and adherence for the golf programs.
• Coordinate alumni relations outreach and programming for the programs.
• Support recruiting activities and relationship building with prospects.
• Maintain recruiting database.
• Coordinate personal development programs for student‑athletes.
• Contribute to overall program success as assigned by Head Coaches.
