Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Lead in Reading, MA to drive brand standards, deliver top customer service, and guide store teammates. Under the guidance of the Store Manager, you will lead by example, coach others, and ensure operations run smoothly to meet daily business goals.

You will participate in interviews, onboarding, and training while fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture and maintaining safety and inventory standards.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior retail sales or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 35 lbs repetitively.
• Ability to work extended periods standing or walking up to 4 hours.
• Ability to work at heights with ladder or platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead the in-store team and model best service to customers.
• Assist with interviews and department tours to hire strong teammates.
• Foster a people-first culture and mutual trust among staff.
• Plan and organize 30-day execution with guidance from store leadership.
• Delegate tasks to meet brand standards and store priorities.
• Uphold merchandising and presentation standards and loss-prevention policies.
• Coach teammates and onboard new hires; develop others.
• Set an inclusive store environment where everyone is welcome.
• Maintain safety and confidentiality of company information.
• Support store leadership and perform other tasks as assigned.
