Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods in Lexington, KY is hiring store teammates to warmly greet customers and help them find the right gear while sharing product knowledge. You will support everyday store operations, keep displays attractive, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all customers and teammates.

Prior retail experience is preferred; golf industry experience is a plus. You should be able to stand/walk for extended periods, lift light to moderate weights, and work as part of a team to achieve

Qualifications

• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Golf industry experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and proactively understand their needs to support their shopping experience.
• Uphold merchandising and presentation standards including floor sets, signage, price changes, and inventory replenishment.
• Promote company programs such as loyalty, warranty sales, and private label enrollment.
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures; maintain confidentiality of company information.
• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
