Job summary

Tri-Mountain Golf Course in Ridgefield, WA seeks an experienced maintenance supervisor to oversee the 18-hole course with multi-million revenue. The role requires managing turfgrass care, supervising a team, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include budgeting, greens construction, equipment maintenance, and vendor coordination. The position emphasizes adherence to company policies and training programs for staff development.

Qualifications

• English proficiency required to perform duties.
• Microsoft Office knowledge for reporting and budgeting.
• AA degree or two-year college equivalent; or 3–4 years related experience.
• Degree preference in agronomy, horticulture, or plant & soil science.
• Valid driver’s license and pesticide application license.
• Regularly lifts up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage the annual golf course maintenance budget and capital plans.
• Plan, organize, and direct maintenance of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
• Supervise planting and cultural practices for turfgrasses, trees, and ornamentals.
• Ensure maintenance equipment is properly maintained.
• Procure supplies within budget and maintain records of costs.
• Maintain records and prepare reports on maintenance activities.
• Follow purchasing procedures and use preferred vendors when possible.
• Reconcile invoices, payroll, and other required documents timely.
• Coordinate snow removal based on location.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations.
• Ensure associates obtain necessary training or licenses for safety and compliance.
• Oversee safe mixing, calibration, and application of chemicals and fertilizers.
• Manage department staff (several roles) and provide orientation and ongoing training.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and follow safe work practices.
