Guidant Management in Sunrise, FL is looking for one golf course superintendent to join our team at our 18-hole executive golf course located at 8150 Springtree Drive. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, motivated, and engaged.
Must pass a Background check and Drug Test.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of golf course maintenance experience in a leadership role, including golf, turf fertilization, calibration, pest control, and irrigation oversight.
- Pesticide applicator certification.

Additional Qualifications
- Experience in all phases of golf course management and turf culture.
- Certified and/or licensed for pesticide usage.
- Valid Florida driver’s license.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, including watering practices, pumps, wells, automatic controls, and drainage.
Responsibilities
- The superintendent is entrusted with the maintenance, operation, and management of the golf course.
- Direct and manage a staff of 6-8 employees and oversee the maintenance of the golf course, clubhouse, and surrounding areas according to the management contract.
- Approve all expenditures and exercise cost control measures to align operating and capital expenses with the approved budgets.
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, direct, and supervise employees to maintain the golf courses.
- Ensure chemicals, petroleum, and other controlled products are used, stored, and disposed of in accordance with regulations; maintain required records.
- Report directly to the General Manager.
- Supervise the operation, maintenance, and repair of all equipment assigned to the course.
- Prepare and operate within annual budget estimates and agronomic plans.
- Create and distribute reports of maintenance activities as required.
- Fulfilling administrative duties in a timely manner.
