Job summary

Van Buren Golf Center LLC in Riverside, CA is seeking a passionate Golf Course Superintendent to lead maintenance and agronomic operations, delivering exceptional playing conditions and a premier course experience for every golfer.

The role requires strong turf knowledge, leadership, and the ability to manage irrigation, fertilization, and budgets while coordinating events and daily play.

Qualifications

• Experience as Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.
• Knowledge of turfgrass agronomy, soil science and IPM.
• California QAL or ability to obtain one preferred.
• Experience leading a grounds maintenance team.
• Familiarity with irrigation systems, scheduling software, and course management tools.
• GCSAA membership or golf course management certification is a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily golf course maintenance operations, including turf management, irrigation, and landscaping
• Develop and implement agronomic programs for tees, fairways, greens, and rough areas
• Manage, schedule, and train grounds crew and maintenance staff
• Monitor and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper water management and conservation
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides in compliance with local and state regulations
• Manage departmental budget, equipment maintenance, and supply procurement
• Coordinate course setup and preparation for tournaments, events, and daily play

About the Role:

Van Buren Golf Center LLC in Riverside, CA is looking for a passionate and experienced Golf Course Superintendent to lead the maintenance and agronomic operations of our facility. This is a fantastic opportunity for a turf professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional playing conditions and a beautiful course experience for every golfer. 9 Holes

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all daily golf course maintenance operations, including turf management, irrigation, and landscaping
• Develop and implement agronomic programs for tees, fairways, greens, and rough areas
