Descrizione del lavoro

Overview
About Us

In 1968, Riverside Golf created a par 3 golf course. In 2000, this course was renovated when the now current 18-hole course, par 70, playing 6400 yards was added to the grounds.

Today, Riverside Golf Links is a public 27-hole facility, complemented by a 9-hole executive course. The courses have phenomenal bent grass greens, lush Bermuda fairways, and tees that are nestled along the banks of the Cumberland River.

Since its earliest beginnings, Riverside Golf has been a staple in the Old Hickory area. In 2020, under the direction of new ownership & management, we will strive to continue this tradition & to be your golf course of choice. We are committed to delivering pristine playing surfaces, incredible hospitality, and excellent amenities to make your experience with us memorable.

Greens Superintendent
Our Mission

We believe that a golf course is more than just fairways and greens-it's a living, breathing landscape that inspires connection, competition, and community. Our mission is to provide an exceptional playing experience every single day, blending environmental stewardship with world-class turf management. We take pride in sustainable practices, innovative maintenance techniques, and a team culture built on respect, collaboration, and passion for the game.
Our course has hosted regional tournaments, charity events, and countless memorable rounds for members and guests. We see every blade of grass as part of a bigger story-one where nature, sport, and people come together. We are committed to preserving that story while continuously elevating the quality of play.

The Impact You Will Make

As Riverside Golf Links Greens Superintendent, you'll be the guardian of our course's beauty, health, and playability. Your expertise will shape every golfer's experience-from the smooth

Your leadership will directly influence the reputation of our facility, the satisfaction of our players, and the pride of our community.

What You'll Bring

Leadership Style: We are looking for a hands‑on leader who leads by example. This is not a position for someone who simply assigns tasks and manages them from a distance.
The right Superintendent will take ownership of the golf course and its condition, work alongside the maintenance team when needed, and never consider themselves above the work they ask others to perform. We value humility, accountability, initiative, and a strong work ethic.
We want someone who can effectively lead and delegate while also being willing to get on a mower, operate equipment, repair an irrigation issue, rake a bunker, or tackle whatever else the day requires.
Our expectation is simple: take responsibility for the course, lead from the front, and never ask your team to do something you wouldn't be willing to do yourself.

  • Proven experience as a Greens Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent at a golf facility, preferably with exposure to tournament‑level preparation and bent grass grooming expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of turfgrass species, irrigation systems, integrated pest management, and seasonal maintenance strategies.
  • Certification in turf management, agronomy, or related field (GCSAA Class A or B preferred).
  • Leadership skills with the ability to inspire, train, and develop a diverse team. Being bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
  • Proficiency with maintenance equipment and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, inventory management, and vendor relations.
  • A commitment to environmental stewardship, continuous improvement, and staying current with industry innovations.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, management, and members.
Why You'll Love It Here
  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonus program.
  • Paid time off plus complimentary golf privileges for you and for your family.
  • Annual professional development stipend for GCSAA conferences, certifications, and training.
  • Access to state-of-the-art turf management tools and equipment.
  • Supportive leadership team that values innovation, work-life balance, and recognition of your contributions.
  • The satisfaction of seeing your work directly enhance the player experience every single day-and hearing firsthand from golfers how much they appreciate your efforts.

We are an equal opportunity employer.
