The Golf Superintendent will manage the daily care, health, and appearance of the golf course’s turfgrass, plants, and overall grounds.This position will assist with and direct the mowing, watering, fertilization, aeration, and pest control for the turfgrass in addition to managing maintenance of equipment.
Turf Management: Maintains accountability for property grounds including greens, tees, fairways, and roughs.
Irrigation Systems:Operates and maintains complex irrigation and drainage systems to keep grass healthy.
Staff Leadership: Trains and supervises maintenance crew
Equipment Care:Manages fleet of mowers and sprayers, ensuring each is operating efficiently and safely
Budgeting and Planning:Provides direct feedback on resources for materials, labor, and capital improvement projects.
Operations: Coordinates with General Manager to ensure property grounds are in playing conditions and assists with course set up for tournaments.
Bachelor’s degreein golf course turf management, horticulture or Agronomy or equivalent and considerable experience in maintenance of golf course with at least 1 year of supervisory experience; Certified pesticides licenses from the department of agriculture; valid Driver License; GCSAA membership preferred but not required
