Charles Myers Golf Course, part of Troon, seeks a full‑time Mechanic to service and repair golf course maintenance equipment in a fast-paced hospitality setting in Charlotte, NC. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs on gasoline and diesel power gear, and maintaining preventive maintenance records.

The ideal candidate has hands-on John Deere equipment experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing John Deere turf or construction equipment.
• Minimum 3–6 months related experience or training.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to read/understand English.

Responsibilities

• Perform major and minor repairs on gasoline and diesel power equipment.
• Maintain a preventative maintenance program and track parts and expenses.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical defects on golf course maintenance equipment.
• Repair motors, reels, braking systems; perform machining or welding as needed.
• Keep maintenance records and stay updated on equipment knowledge.
• Ensure safe work practices and maintain a clean, organized shop.
