Job summary

Troon in Charlotte, NC seeks a Full-Time Mechanic to service and repair golf course equipment, including John Deere turf gear. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical issues, and maintain records, while adhering to safety and cost controls.

Requirements include a college/technical certificate or 3–6 months related experience, and a valid driver’s license. This on-site role offers a stable work environment within a hospitality-focused operation.

Qualifications

• Certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training.
• Hands-on experience servicing and repairing John Deere agricultural, turf, or construction equipment.
• Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a preventative maintenance program on all equipment, purchases repair parts, and replacement supplies.
• Reviews expenses and purchases with department manager for approval.
• Inspects, adjusts, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical defects in golf course maintenance equipment.
• Performs mowing equipment maintenance such as grinding, sharpening, and adjustment.
• Maintains records of preventative maintenance, repairs made, and parts ordered.
