Job summary

Potomac Shores Golf Club – Troon seeks a Head Mechanic to lead the maintenance of our golf course equipment fleet, including gas and diesel power units. You will oversee preventative maintenance, repairs, and parts management to keep all gear reliable.

The role requires hands-on technical skills, supervision of assistants, and records keeping. Importantly, you will work closely with the club manager to ensure safe operations and cost effective servicing.

Qualifications

• Certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience.
• Experience managing personnel.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a preventative maintenance program on all equipment.
• Inspects, adjusts, diagnoses and repairs mechanical defects in maintenance equipment.
• Performs mower grinding/sharpening and repairs; overhauls motors and reels.
• Manages parts inventory, expenses and service work.
• Assists the Manager in interviewing, hiring, training, and directing work.
• Ensures accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
• Maintains safe and clean maintenance area.
• Performs other duties as required.
