Job description

Job Location: Methodist University Location - Fayetteville, NC

Position Type: Full Time Staff

Description

This position reports to the Golf Course Superintendent. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Performing preventive maintenance and repairs to the following:

• Utility Vehicles
• Tractors
• Rotary Mowers
• Gas and Diesel Engines
• 2 or 4 stroke Engines
• Reel and Bed-Knife Grinder
• Welding
• Electrical and Hydraulic Troubleshooting

Mowing, raking, blowing, etc., as needed. May be asked to help perform tasks on the course as needed. The mechanic must keep written/electronic records of all repairs and services. There is a requirement to always keep the work area clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
• Prior use and knowledge of hand-tools and mechanical grass cutting equipment is required.
• Two years prior golf course experience preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Applicant must have previous REEL and BED-KNIFE grinding experience.
