Job summary

TPC Scottsdale is seeking a Direct Supervisor to oversee the Golf Course Maintenance crew and assist in daily supervision of golf course maintenance operations. You will assume responsibility for the department in the absence of the Director Golf Course Maintenance Operations.

Responsibilities include recruiting, training, scheduling and evaluating staff; ensuring proper care of maintenance equipment; enforcing safety practices; managing daily workload; and maintaining the golf course, equipment

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in turf management or related field or trades training and work related experience in turf management
• Knowledge of general business administration practices as applied to golf course operations with 1–2 years of golf course maintenance experience

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct the work of others including recruitment, training, scheduling and review of performance for the Golf Course Maintenance Crew
• Must have thorough knowledge of all tasks relevant to multiple maintenance positions listed in the job description
• Train staff on proper equipment operation and established procedures and techniques
• Assist with promoting and enforcing safety practices and training employees in safety procedures
• Assist in managing the daily departmental workload
• Ensure the overall organization and cleanliness of the golf course, equipment and maintenance facility
• Assume duties of Foreman as required and direct special repairs or modification projects
