Job summary

The St. Joe Company seeks a Golf Course Assistant Superintendent for The Third Golf Course in Panama City Beach, FL.

You will direct turf maintenance across tees, greens, fairways, bunkers, and rough, while supervising the maintenance crew and ensuring pest control and disease prevention. Responsibilities include irrigation monitoring, pesticide applications, and assisting the Superintendent with personnel matters.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in turf management preferred.
• At least five years’ experience in turf care preferred.
• Ability to read product labels and to communicate with guests in basic English.
• Restricted Use Pesticide (RUP) certification.

Responsibilities

• Manages turf maintenance across tees, greens, fairways, bunkers, cart paths and rough.
• Performs frequent disease scouting and irrigation monitoring.
• Supervises daily maintenance crew operations and scheduling.
• Applies pesticides and fertilizers as appropriate.
• Assists the Golf Course Superintendent with personnel matters such as wages, reviews, warnings, and terminations.
• Ensures course cleanliness and compliance with regulations.
