Job summary

The Peoria Park District is seeking a part-time Golf Course Maintenance Staff member to maintain park grounds. Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and support the safety program.

Job description

Duties: Under the supervision of the Assistant Golf Course Manager, the Golf Course Maintenance Staff is responsible for the following:Performing all duties assigned for the maintenance of the park property. This includes various different operations, such as:Mowing with a push mower or riding mowerTrimming with power weed trimmers or manuallyEmptying garbage barrels and picking up litterCleaning and maintaining public restroomsFlower beds - planting, weeding, wateringAnd maintenance of all equipment.Reporting any vandalism, unusual condition, emergency, or incident to the Assistant Golf Course Manager immediately.Following all safety procedures that pertain to the duties performed. Supporting all aspects of the Park District's safety program.Performing other related duties as assigned.Essential Functions:Ability to reach, walk, pull, kneel, squat, and bend at the waist and knees.Ability to operate machinery relative to job duties.Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.Experience: Previous experience operating trucks, tractors, mowing equipment, and other machinery used in ground maintenance.
