Job summary

Esplanade Golf & Country Club Lakewood Ranch in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Full-Time Golf Course Irrigation Technician. You will perform preventative maintenance on a large irrigation system, determine watering needs, and ensure reliable operation of pumps and controls across the golf facility.

The ideal candidate has irrigation experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift heavy objects, multi-task, and prioritize tasks effectively.

Qualifications

• 3–6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination
• High School Diploma or GED required; college/technical certificate preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on the irrigation system including lake re-circulation and water features
• Determine wet and dry areas for sprinkler head adjustments
• Inventory and stock irrigation parts and tools to minimize downtime
• Maintain pump station knowledge and system components, including electrical and controls
• Operate and repair a complex irrigation system, addressing leaks and wiring
• Report irrigation issues to the Head Irrigation Technician and log repairs
• Prioritize irrigation breaks and manage time efficiently
• Conduct monthly sprinkler head checks across the facility
• Inspect irrigation components to ensure proper operation
• Winterize and blow out irrigation lines, valves, and pump stations
• Incorporate safe work practices and perform other duties as required

Esplanade Golf & Country Club Lakewood Ranch, located in Bradenton, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Golf Course Irrigation Technician! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing togrow their knowledge of golf club operations. Job Responsibilities:

• Performs preventative maintenance on the irrigation system including the lake re-circulation system and water features.
• Determines wet and dry areas for adjustments of sprinkler heads.
• Properly inventories and stocks all irrigation parts and tools in order to minimize down time.
• Maintains working knowledge of pump station maintenance requirements.
• Operates, maintains, and repairs a complex irrigation system, including leaks on the distribution lines, valve risers, electrical system, computer, and irrigation control wire.
• Reports any serious irrigation breaks immediately to the Head Irrigation Technician or Superintendent and maintains a daily log of completed repairs.
• Prioritizes irrigation breaks and uses time efficiently.
• Conducts monthly checks of all sprinkler heads on the entire golf facility.
• Routinely inspects irrigation system components to ensure system is operating properly.
• Responsible for winterization and blowout of irrigation system, including all water lines, valves and pump stations.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Prior golf course maintenance and irrigation experience is a major plus.
• Must have ability tolift heavy objects.
• Must be able to multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize well.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Certificate from college or technical school is preferred; and a minimum three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
