Job summary

Troon’s Esplanade Golf & Country Club Lakewood Ranch in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Full-Time Golf Course Irrigation Technician to maintain our complex irrigation system and support the daily operation of the golf facility.

You will perform preventative maintenance, adjust sprinkler coverage, winterize systems, inspect components, and assist with pumping and water features, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; college/technical certificate preferred; 3–6 months related experience or training.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Prior golf course maintenance and irrigation experience is a major plus.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects.
• Ability to multi-task, problem-solve and prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance on the irrigation system, including lake recirculation and water features.
• Determines wet and dry areas to adjust sprinkler head coverage.
• Inventory and stock irrigation parts and tools to minimize downtime.
• Maintains pump station knowledge and routine system checks.
• Operates, maintains and repairs irrigation components including leaks and electrical system.
