Job summary

Bobby Jones Golf Club in Sarasota, FL, is seeking a full-time Golf Course Maintenance Member to keep greens, tees, fairways, and roughs in peak condition for our members and guests. This position is an on-site role with Troon as the management partner.

You will operate motorized equipment, edge and rake bunkers, plant trees and shrubs, and assist in irrigation and seasonal maintenance. A State Driver’s License is required; the job is outdoors, physical, and performed in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping.
• Ability to read safety instructions and manuals.
• Able to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather.
• Valid State Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Mows greens, tees, fairways and roughs to standard specifications.
• Safely operates motorized equipment and hand tools.
• Edges, rakes bunkers, and maintains sand surfaces.
• Plants trees/shrubs; maintains flower beds; weed control.
• Assists irrigation tasks and seasonal maintenance.
• Plays a role in course readiness and safety compliance.

Job description

Bobby Jones Golf Club, located in Sarasota, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Golf Course Maintenance Member! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Compensation

$16.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Performs ground maintenance tasks: mow greens, tees, fairways and roughs
• Safely operate motorized vehicles with Standard transmissions
• Operate Weed-eaters, and blowers
• Edge and trim and rake bunkers
• Has advanced experience setting cups and preparing course for play
• Plant trees and shrubs, maintain flower beds, weed control, and leaf removal
• Fertilizes, prunes trees and shrubs; cut, roll, lay and water sod; install, and maintain sand bunkers
• Repairs potholes
• Trash/litter removal
• Perform Light irrigation duties (hand water, clean heads, make repairs
• Snow and Ice removal
• Other duties to be assigned

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and technical procedures. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
