Job summary

Duke University Golf Club is seeking a groundskeeper to maintain the golf course and operate maintenance equipment according to a set schedule. You will learn and follow safety rules, communicate with supervisors, and work as part of a team with leadership on maintenance tasks.

Training will cover equipment operation and maintenance; after thorough training, you may apply herbicides, fungicides, pesticides, and fertilizer per guidance. This role reports to the Head Golf Course Superintendent.

Qualifications

• Education/Training: High school with skilled trades training.
• Experience: 1 year grounds/landscape maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain golf course grounds and operate maintenance equipment per schedule.
• Follow OSHA rules and Duke employee policies.
• Communicate with supervisor and team daily.
• Provide team leadership on maintenance tasks.
