Job summary

Marin Country Club in Novato, CA seeks a full-time Assistant Superintendent to contribute to a positive experience for members and guests while growing knowledge of golf club operations. Qualifications

• Must have strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience supervising a maintenance team and managing schedules.
• Detail-oriented with accurate record-keeping abilities.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Create yearly budgets, agronomic calendars, and project schedules.
• Develop daily and weekly maintenance schedules for the team.
• Oversee daily maintenance to club standards and safety.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training new team members.
• Oversee orientation and training of new staff.
• Develop and maintain training programs for each task on the course.
• Evaluate performance for reviews and daily feedback.
• Address conflicts professionally to promote teamwork.
• Maintain irrigation system with irrigation technicians.
• Manage water usage to balance playability and turf health.
• Conduct safety training and inspections of equipment and areas.
• Maintain MSDS sheets and product labels; ensure chemical storage complies with regulations.
• Maintain a log of applications and related reports.
• Oversee chemical and fertilizer applications and equipment calibration.
• Ensure safe work practices and reliable attendance.
