Job summary

Marin Country Club in Novato, CA, is seeking a full-time Assistant Superintendent to support the Director of Agronomy and lead a maintenance crew in sustaining high-quality golf course conditions.

The role involves budgeting, calendar planning, staff training, irrigation management, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Requires 2–3 years of golf course maintenance and a related certificate or degree.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree in horticulture or turf management preferred.
• Two to three years of golf course maintenance experience required.
• Prior managerial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director/Superintendent in budgets, calendars and schedules.
• Oversee daily maintenance and safety, ensure club standards.
• Support interviewing, hiring and training of staff.
• Maintain irrigation system and water management practices.
• Ensure proper chemical storage, MSDS compliance.
