Job summary

Esplanade at St Marys in St Mary, GA, seeks a full-time Assistant Superintendent to oversee golf course maintenance and construction, working with the Superintendent to maintain budget plans and ensure turf quality.

The role includes supervising staff, coordinating greens, tees, fairways, and bunkers, procuring supplies within budget, and ensuring compliance with policies and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the maintenance and construction of the golf course and ensures turf grass is repaired and maintained to established standards.
• Works with the Superintendent to ensure annual golf course maintenance budget and capital plans are maintained and followed.
• Supervises and assists maintenance staff in daily duties.
• Assists in planning, organizing and directing maintenance and construction of putting greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
• Supervises planting and cultural practices for turf grasses, trees and ornamental plants.
• Ensures construction equipment is properly maintained.
• Assists in procurement of supplies and materials within budget.
• Keeps records of maintenance activities and costs and assists with reports.
• Coordinates snow removal (location dependent).
• Ensures all policies and safety regulations are followed.
