Cherokee Town and Country Club, located in the Atlanta metro area, seeks an Assistant Superintendent to lead daily golf course operations under the Director of Golf Course Operations. The role emphasizes quality turf management, safety, and team leadership while supporting the club’s master plan and renovations.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of golf course maintenance experience and an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Turfgrass Management or related field, with the ability to obtain a GA

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Turfgrass Management or related field (required).
• 1–3 years of golf course maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and train a large crew of staff and seasonal workers.
• Apply fertilizers and plant protectants; calibrate sprayers and spreaders and document applications.
• Perform irrigation scheduling and basic repairs to irrigation system.
• Manage golf course improvement projects and maintenance programs.
• Coordinate with other departments and support the Golf Shop and events staff.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and a professional demeanor in all interactions.
