Job summary

Esplanade at St Marys, part of Troon, seeks a full-time Assistant Superintendent in St Mary, GA to oversee golf course maintenance and construction, under the direction of the Superintendent. This role ensures turf quality and regulatory compliance, while managing staff and expenditures.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and experience in agronomy or horticulture, with license requirements and proficiency in MS Office. Join a global leader in golf and community management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, AA, or equivalent from four- or two-year college or technical school.
• Degree preference in agronomy/ horticulture/ plant/soil science.

Responsibilities

• Works with the Superintendent to manage the golf course maintenance budget and capital plans.
• Supervises maintenance staff in daily duties.
• Plans and directs maintenance and construction of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
• Oversees planting and cultural practices for turf, trees, and ornamentals.
• Ensures equipment is properly maintained and within budget.
• Coordinates procurement of supplies and costs.
• Maintains records and prepares required reports.
