Job summary

SOFTSWISS is seeking a Senior Go Developer to design and build scalable backend solutions for a high-load sportsbook platform. You will shape architecture, collaborate with a cross-functional team, and ensure code quality through reviews and well-tested implementations.

The role requires deep knowledge of Go internals, distributed systems, and strong SQL skills with Linux and containerization (Docker). Experience with Kafka and Kubernetes is a plus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• At least 4 years of recent programming experience with Go as the primary language
• Strong understanding of Go internals: data structures, multithreading, memory management, garbage collection
• Experience with relational databases, including the ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries
• Solid knowledge of Linux and an understanding of containerization (we use Docker)
• Ability to write testable code and corresponding unit tests
• Experience working with Kafka and Kubernetes
• English - Intermediate
• Russian - Upper-Intermediate

The SOFTSWISS Sportsbook is a software platform designed for launching and managing a successful online sports betting business. The Sportsbook team’s goal is to develop truly innovative software that will make the process of creating and running a bookmaker website faster and easier for our clients. We are searching for driven individuals who are passionate about what they do and are ready to work on engaging tasks and exciting projects together.

Purpose of the role:

You’ll design and build scalable backend solutions in Go, helping to shape the architecture of a high-load, business-critical system.
You’ll collaborate closely with the team, contribute to strategic technical decisions, and ensure code quality through thoughtful reviews and clean, testable implementation.
Your deep understanding of system internals, distributed architecture, and data integrity will drive reliability, performance, and long-term maintainability.
