Job summary

Wobot is seeking a Golang Developer to build and maintain reliable backend services across cloud and edge environments. You will work on distributed services, networking, concurrency, and device connectivity with a focus on strong engineering fundamentals and real-time communication.

You will design production Go services, APIs, and systems, handle unreliable networks, and contribute to architecture and code quality in a fully remote setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Production Go experience or strong backend with Go potential.
• Solid understanding of Go concurrency (goroutines, channels, mutexes, context).
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TLS, timeouts, retries, connection management.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop production services in Go.
• Build APIs and services across cloud and edge environments.
• Work with long-lived connections, concurrency, and real-time communication.
• Handle unreliable networks, connection failures, retries, and reconnections.
• Improve service reliability, performance, and resource utilisation.
• Debug production issues using logs, metrics, and profiling.
• Contribute to system design and architectural discussions.
• Write maintainable, well-tested, idiomatic Go.
• Participate in code reviews and improve engineering practices.
