Cloudflare's Data Org seeks backend engineers to design, build, and operate distributed data systems at scale, primarily using Go. You will handle ingestion, processing, storage, and retrieval across a global network.

You’ll specialize in areas like ClickHouse analytics or data delivery pipelines, while collaborating with product teams and participating in on-call rotations to keep systems reliable.

Formación

• Three+ years of professional software engineering experience building backend, infrastructure, or distributed-data systems.
• Strong Go programming skills or substantial systems programming experience with Rust/C++ and ability to become productive in Go quickly.
• Experience operating production services including deployment, monitoring, capacity planning, incident response, and debugging.
• Solid understanding of distributed-systems concepts such as concurrency, consistency, fault tolerance, partitioning, and data integrity.
• Experience with high-throughput or low-latency data processing.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana) for high-cardinality workloads.
• Clear communication and ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and operate reliable distributed systems that process very large data volumes.
• Develop and optimize backend services and data platform components in Go.
• Improve data integrity, delivery latency, query performance, availability, and operational efficiency.
• Build systems that handle failures safely with backpressure, retries, idempotency, replication, and graceful degradation.
• Define SLAs, monitor production health, plan capacity, and respond to incidents.
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks across ingestion, processing, storage, and retrieval.
• Depending on focus: manage ClickHouse clusters; develop data delivery pipelines; build/scale GraphQL APIs and alerting products.
