Job summary

Cloudflare, a leading Internet security and performance company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Cloudflare for SaaS. You will design, build, and operate backend services and RESTful APIs in Go, shaping the control plane used by millions of customer domains and helping scale across Cloudflare's global network.

You will collaborate with product managers and engineers, improve deployment reliability, and mentor teams while owning production code from development to incident response,

Qualifications

3+ years of backend experience at a tech company.
Production-grade Go or willingness to learn Go.
Experience designing and operating distributed/high-scale services.
Strong debugging across apps, data stores, and production.
Proficiency with Unix/Linux development and runtimes.
History of delivering well-tested, reliable code in production.
Excellent written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate reliable backend services and APIs.
Scale control plane to support millions of customer domains.
Improve certificate and domain lifecycle workflows.
Model ownership and shared state across distributed systems.
Build observability, alerts, and runbooks; participate in incidents.
