Job summary

3Pillar seeks a senior software engineer with deep Go expertise to design and optimize high-volume ingest pipelines for IoT and OT telemetry. You will implement polling, write paths for time-series storage, and optimize for throughput, latency, and memory in edge deployments.

You will lead architecture, contribute to code reviews, and mentor others while ensuring secure, scalable enterprise systems. Strong English skills and US work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with Go.
• Strong concurrency and performance engineering skills including goroutines and channels.
• Solid network protocol fundamentals and debugging with packet captures.
• Experience building high-volume ingest or streaming pipelines in production.
• Experience with time-series storage and write optimization (InfluxDB or equivalent).
• Experience building enterprise-level systems with SOLID and basic security awareness (OWASP).
• Proficiency in English and authorized to work in the United States.
• Exposure to IoT/OT telemetry protocols and cloud-native patterns.

Responsibilities

• Independently drive project delivery from conceptualization to deployment, with autonomy and accountability.
• Build and optimize high-volume ingest pipelines in Go, including concurrency design and back‑pressure.
• Implement and maintain device polling/collection across IoT/OT telemetry protocols and time-series storage write paths.
• Profile and tune for throughput, latency, and memory footprint in edge/constrained-runtime deployments.
• Craft client code that is efficient, testable, scalable, secure, and of high quality.
• Participate in planning/estimation efforts using project methods and tools.
• Contribute to code reviews and documentation, and collaborate on resiliency and failure-isolation design.
