Job summary

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking a GNSS R&D Test Engineer for the San Jose, CA area. The role focuses on GNSS performance testing, mobile device validation, and test automation in a lab setting.

Responsibilities include conducting tests with Keysight/Spirent/Rohde & Schwarz platforms, analyzing results, and developing Python scripts to automate workflows. Collaboration with hardware and software teams is essential to drive issues to resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years hands-on laboratory experience testing mobile devices, wireless systems, or mobile device prototypes.
• Working knowledge of LTE, 5G NR, NSA, and SA wireless technologies.
• Experience executing tests using Keysight, Spirent, or Rohde & Schwarz platforms.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for test automation, log collection, and data analysis.
• Experience with hardware and software validation, device log analysis, and technical troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and NI power instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform GNSS performance testing, including TTFF, positioning accuracy, sensitivity, and other lab KPIs.
• Support new hardware bring-up activities and execute software and hardware validation tests on mobile device prototypes.
• Conduct laboratory testing using Keysight, Spirent, Rohde & Schwarz, and other wireless testing platforms.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and identify root causes of hardware and software issues.
• Collaborate with modem, GNSS software, and hardware engineering teams to investigate and resolve technical issues.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts for automated test execution, log collection, and data analysis.
• Support the development and improvement of test automation frameworks and regression testing environments.
• Perform device log analysis, post-processing, and network-side debugging.
• Document test procedures, results, defects, and troubleshooting findings using tools such as JIRA.
• Support multiple R&D testing requests while meeting project deadlines.
• Provide occasional evening or on-call support as needed.

Job Summary

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking a skilled GNSS R&D Test Engineer to support one of our leading technology clients. This position will focus on GNSS performance testing, mobile device validation, hardware and software verification, and test automation in a laboratory environment.

Job Title: GNSS R&D Test Engineer

Location: San Jose,CA

Shift: Monday–Friday,

Employment Type: Contract, 6 month Min

Pay: $50-$60/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Perform GNSS performance testing, including Time to First Fix (TTFF), positioning accuracy, sensitivity, and other laboratory KPIs.
• Support new hardware bring-up activities and execute software and hardware validation tests on mobile device prototypes.
• Conduct laboratory testing using Keysight, Spirent, Rohde & Schwarz, and other wireless testing platforms.
