Job summary

RTX is hiring an entry-level Systems Engineer in Tucson, AZ to support missile programs within the Guidance, Navigation, and Control domain. You will help evaluate, design, implement, and integrate embedded software algorithms for tactical applications.

Ideal candidates hold a Master's in a STEM field by start date and have experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, Linux, and GNC concepts. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required, with onsite work at RTX facilities.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering, science, physics, mathematics, or a related STEM field; degree must be obtained by start date.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and/or Object-Oriented design and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with GNC systems, modeling & simulation techniques, digital and/or modern control systems, dynamics, Kalman filter design, signal processing, navigation systems, sensors (IMU/GPS), and algorithms, including APNT and CFD.
• Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsibilities

• Support execution of the portfolio of current and upcoming missile programs as a Systems Engineer in Tucson, AZ.
• Evaluate, design, implement, and integrate embedded software algorithms for GNC.
• Collaborate with a team to develop tactical embedded software, firmware, and six-degree-of-freedom simulations.
