Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Texas seeks an Embedded Controls GNC Engineer for Starmind. You will design and implement electromechanical control systems for solar arrays, attitude control, and propulsion interfaces, and translate simulations into flight software.

You will work in a fast-paced startup environment, developing high-fidelity models in C++, Python, and MATLAB, conducting hardware bring-up, testing, and fleet performance monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, physics or engineering.
• Software development experience in C++.
• Experience with closed-loop control systems design.
• Master's or PhD in physics or engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of state estimation and Kalman filters helpful.

Responsibilities

• Design, analysis, and implementation of electromechanical control systems on satellite payloads.
• Develop attitude control and momentum management systems.
• Implement, validate, and deploy production software in C++ for flight hardware.
• Create high-fidelity simulations with C++, Python, and MATLAB.
• Provide data and hardware reviews for fleet performance.
