Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. seeks a highly skilled engineer to lead control system analysis and design for GNC and ADCS. The role is eligible for remote work from an approved location, with responsibilities spanning architecture, algorithm development, and mission performance analysis.

You will work on offline geolocation processing, I/O test planning, and validation, leveraging C++, Python, Julia, and MATLAB to ensure robust spacecraft control and operations. A government security clearance is preferred.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in mechanical or aerospace engineering with 2–3 years of professional experience, or equivalent hands-on GNC experience.
• Strong C++ programming in embedded environments.
• Experience with Python, Julia or MATLAB for numerical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement GNC architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment.
• Define requirements for ADCS algorithms, hardware, and related systems for current missions and roadmaps.
• Perform analysis and simulation of mission-specific GNC performance.
• Collaborate on offline geolocation processing pipeline development.
• Support software- and hardware-in-the-loop test planning, execution and validation.
