Mercy Springfield is seeking nurses to join its Nurse Residency program, offering a year-long pathway to build clinical knowledge and skills. The program guides graduates through a defined career path with opportunities to transfer to ICU within 12-18 months.
You will prepare for the specialty area of your choice while developing core nursing competencies and professional growth. Candidates must have graduated from an approved nursing program and hold or obtain an RN license in the hiring state
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Nurse Residency Available: Mercy Springfield offers a year-long Nurse Residency Program tailored to the specialty area in which each nurse is hired. All graduate nurses participate in the program, along with select experienced nurses based on their individual experience and professional development needs.

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
